Eco Tape?
Eco Tape is an environmentally responsible alternative to your conventional duct tape. Eco Tape uses more renewable,
sustainable, and post consumer materials than any other duct tape on the market. Here at Patriot Tapes we understand we
are not a clean industry, however through innovation and our dedication to a cleaner environment we have developed an
alternative duct tape that displays the characteristics shared by other duct tapes on the market.
Duct tape is made up of three main ingredients plastic film, cloth and adhesive. It is all petroleum based, even the cloth is
polyester. We know how harmful petroleum is to our environment so we decided to clean up our act. Eco Tapes components
are made a little different but with the same intention of giving our consumer a tool to make those essential repairs, while
helping the environment, without spending a lot of money to make a difference.
Our components consist of:
• 100% recycled core 35% being post consumer recycled materials such as old newspapers, magazines, and books.
• Cloth made from 37.1% post consumer recycled polyester such as plastic bottles.
• The roll labels are made from wild harvest grasses and banana peels ensuring
no trees were cut down or harmed in the manufacturing of our product.
• Adhesive is made from 58% sunflower oil reducing the amount of petroleum used in the process and using a renewable
source for our base components.
• We have even taken this a step further by donating 5% of the proceeds to our
Plant a Tree program to eliminate our Company’s carbon footprint.
We have become a leader in this industry by our ability to manufacture a Born in the USA product with new technology
and efficient processes. Our new technology allows us to make our tape thinner and stronger, while we use fewer resources
for each roll. Since we are manufactures here in the USA are products do not have to ship all over the world to get to the
consumer therefore it reduces the shipping carbon footprint as well.
